Wii NES Light Gun

CyberPyrot: “After so many agonizing defeats playing Far Cry on the Wii I was fed up with the Wii Mote. The Wii Mote just was not designed with FPS in mind and trying to play one you will see how frustrating it can be. My solution to this was to create a hybrid light gun using parts from a Wii Mote and an old school NES Light gun. To my surprise the light gun was amazingly more responsive the Wii Mote. I was able to get a lot further in shorter period of time. Now I am not saying this is a difficult mod quite the opposite actually I simply de-soldered the IR sensor from the Wii mote and put several feet of wire between the two and added wire for the trigger as well. This is a simple mod with loads of benefits. Thanks to AcidMods.Com for help with this Mod.”

this is how it is used the Wii mote is strapped to the arm like a controle pad for weapon changes and such.
