Re: Wii Homebrew?

I have just seen a way to play vc games via the Twilight hack as a .wad file, I'm going to look into it more later today, at the moment the only other way is to put emulators onto either a dvd or sd card and play them that way.

edit> I got Mario 3 working smile

The first batch of FULLY playable VC titles has been released in WAD format

This explains how to install a VC rip (title.wad) with wad-installer, and twilight princess hack.

This assumes you have twilight hack working.

1) Download http://waninkoko.wiinewz.com/WAD-Installer_v1.zip
2) Rename wad-installer.elf to boot.elf and put on root of your SD card.
3) Put title.wad (From VC Rip) on the root of your SD card.
4) Put the SD card into your Wii (Front slot)
5) Run twilight princess, run backwards or talk to the dood.
6) It will run some lines of code, and boot up the wad installer..
6a) Press 1 & 2 until it detects your wii mote.
6b) Press A when it tells you, and wait for it to install.
6c) After it finishes.. (it will say so) Press A
7) Hard reset your Wii. Hold Power button down till it turns off, then turn it on.

PAL VC GAMES WILL NOT RUN ON NTSC CONSOLE.

I have only seen PAL games so far, you can also get the opera channel using this too smile

Re: Wii Homebrew?

Not if you use this hack, I haven't tried it myself because I'm not interested in surfing on the wii but I have seen it available to d/l, from the same group as Mario 3.

Re: Wii Homebrew?

That's the illegal part, it's the game/channel that you're putting on so no links can be provided sorry.

About the Twilight Hack I would assume that you only need to do that once then you can remove the files as the save is now on your wii.
