Last year quite awhile ago i bought a wiikey for my wii only to find it was a fake anyway after i soldered it. Didn't work unfortunately when desoldering the wires i burnt one of the tracks making my console unmoddable.

What I would like to know is:

If I use a wiikey(or other modchip)
I want to use a wiiclip to hook it onto the IC this should work right? cause its before the burnt tracks.
Is the wiikey still alive my wii has latest firmware I dont want nintendo doing anything to my wii I can play online to righT? if the wiikey is blocked please reccomend a modchip for my wii


I been looking at the usb gecko apparently i can back my games up to images using it. So all i do is backup and burn right cause my discs are getting damaged and I dont have one of the burners that can read discs
