Don't forget to mention about some models, not the very earliest ones though, needing the chip to be dremmeled because the drive pins may be cut, this requires a much harder install.

On earlier model wiis you could solder to the points on the board marked by th round circles but to combat modchips Nintendo then cut the legs off the chip that these points go to.

The only way around this is to dremmel some of the chip away to expose the traces and solder to them, making the process a whole lot harder and beyond inexperienced modders imo.
