I gutted my old Nintendo, put my Wii inside, installed some fun LEDS controlled by the original Power button, replaced the controller ports with Gamecube ones, stuck a Gamecube memory card inside, spray painted it, etc etc. Well, it was worth the hours I put into it and I was hoping you’d post my Youtube video I made for it up on your site. I’m planning on writing some detailed instructions on how to do this, but its much more complicated than you might think due to the space restrictions inside the Nintendo (cutting off parts of gc extension cords connectors as well as cutting all that excess cable and resodering them, cutting a hole for the memory card, shaving one of the four supports so the card fits in, dremeling almost everything inside the original Nintendo, etc). Believe it or not, the Wii can still be taken out of the Nintendo if unscrewed (ie if you need to sync some new wiimotes, or access the sd card slot.) The eject button is available via a small hole in the front which can be poked with a paper clip just like an old floppy disk drive.

@BAYAYA …its not stupid, its called case modding, and its a skill and if executed correctly, (like this one) its great. If you don’t like it then pi55 off…cos alot of time and effort have gone into that.

reminds me of the x-box and x-box 360 mods where they stuck them into a custom built portable case so it looked like a laptop..
There was a spate of case mods years ago with PC’s before it went silly and you’d find pc’s stuck inside millenium falcons, ammunition boxes, teddy bears etc..
Adds a bit of “oh is that the only console you got”, then you switch it on and it’s a wii playing!!

PS3 could handle MP3 if it was made for it.
PC can emulate GC.
PC has better and more homebrew cause all software not from MS is homebrew.
The SIXAXIS can control PC and other things as well.
I can emulate Zelda.
And I can check the weather on my PS3/PC homie.
But it can’t yet, Pc can do a lot-this isn’t about a pc, my Wiimote can control pc and other things that I will never afford(like that robot-cleaning thing), I have Sega and SNES with all games on Wii. Ps3 isn’t doing much different than Wii when you compare what it can do. Ps3 definitely blows Wii’s graphics out of the water…But that’s all. Games suck on both consoles for now, I’ve been playing xbox360…
It doesn’t matter, PS3 basically is a PC cause you can boot under Linux and then you can use Windows if you wanted to.

It does matter dickhead, this is about the wii, not ps3 or pc. I own a ps3 and psp, and think they’re the shit, but you got issues coming into the wii side of things and crapping on about the ps3. Fucken idiot, you make all sony owners look bad. Understandable though i guess seeing as their isn’t anything happening for the ps3 at the mo, so instead of playing it you’re on the net running your mouth off about it.
well, there is still hacks for the ps3 even in 2 weeks, yet this MOD (not a hack) has been on the top for a month! i talk smack about wii cuz of all the systems (out today as of 10/03/2007) the wii blows hard!!! OMFG it don’t even play dvds! why not buy a atari, or a game boy. the only reason why the wii outsold is because it is C-H-E-A-P! less then xbox & ps3
Ok, you’re trying to get me to believe that Ps3 is better? I had one, it was crappy, they sent me another, I kept it around. I like the menu, how it’s similar to psp. I don’t like much about it, definitely not enough to buy one again. How’s Grand Theft Auto 4? Oh wait, I’ll tell you when I play on my 360. How’s Metal Gear Solid 4? Oh idk, let’s wait and see if after it’s release on Ps3 if it doesn’t get ported to 360…Hint GameInformer magazine points out…Final Fantasy 13? Well I’ll just have to see if the stories keep getting worse or not. 7 and X were the best of the series and it keeps going downhill. I didn’t even finish ff12 because I just couldn’t get involved with the storyline. It just plain sucks as far as I’ve played. Any other games I used to play on my Ps2? Oh yea, Devil May Cry 4, on 360. Castlevania from ps1, on 360 in HD. 360 kicks Ps3’s ass! The only thing I can say is BluRay isn’t bad and you get it WITH your console instead of buying it for $200 more…But cmon, don’t make me say it. We also get Halo and Perfect Dark Zero, Gears of War and Assault Heroes. Geometry Wars, and Street Fighter 2, Contra, Super C, and Ya Ir Kung Fu. You cannot mock me, Sony 4 Ever, because the Ps3 is not for me, and your not that clever…

I’ve beaten all the games I want to play for now, so this is coming from somebody who has it all for videogames…As soon as Halo3 is out, I’ll be occupied until Guitar Hero3, then until Rock Band…Grand Theft Auto4. I read rumor in Game Informer that Metal Gear Solid 4 just might come out for Xbox360, and if that’s the case, Ps3 is good for BluRay and Final Fantasy. Other than that, what makes it so much better? Nothing, because other consoles are already doing it. People, you own something because you like it. I’m not going to let some kid try to tell me to like the Ps3 because he likes it. I seriously think most of the games out for it suck, I’m just not that interested. Wii has a good handful of games you don’t get on Ps3 or Xbox360, but Ps3 has the same games as 360. 360 has the same as Ps3, you understand lolololololo? Ps3 will get better over time, 360 and Wii are already doing what Ps3 does. But then again, not everyone likes 360. If this is the case, enjoy the Ps3. I’m not bashing it cause I hate it, I just don’t think it deserves a place on my shelf until it proves to make an interesting game or two that are exclusive to ps3, I don’t want the same game on every console.
MGS4 won’t come out for 360. Kojima said it himself. Plus what makes you think that a company like Sony is dumb enough not to keep their system seller an exclusive. Not even the Gizmondo company was dumb enough to do that.

heritage of crab consoles, i had a nes with 87 games, and all it did was play games (after blowing in them and shoving a vhs tape on top) but i got a psp it plays all the games on the memory stick so i sold my nes (to a fool) and the psp paid for its self! i show my psp off to everybody. my mom (63 years old) had a nes but she gave it to me because she couldn’t get games to work. she asked me to sell it for a psp she is thankful for the psp she always tells me how happy she is that games are as easy to load with the push of a button ( X ) and you can save where ever you want

i got a all in one that does…. ah hell with it, its a PSP! dude did you throw away $$$ on a ipod? then this is the right spot for you. you know my first cd player was the psx. i still got a bunch of cds some i can not d/l or rip to mp3. sorry i don’t buy microsoft products (but i don’t dis the 360) just because of the windows 98 os (a very poor os at that). that is why i don’t buy a 360 but the 360 at least has more functions.

cause you don’t have 30gigs or 80gigs of space just for movies and music. And if you have a buddy that will trade for a sack, then you haven’t spent a dollar…
And for the record, I love my Slim…There’s just never enough space, so I don’t waste it with anything but games. I have two 4gig sticks, one 1gig, and one 2gig. The 4gigs are for Themes, PSP games, and apps. 1gig is for hacking friends’ psp with Pandora, and 2gig is for emus…So no space for music. I hold music higher than video games, so that gets it’s own platform. Personally, I like the Zune better than Ipod,(even though the Ipod has more space) not cause it’s Microsoft, but because it’s not Apple. I don’t like Itunes. So if you can find one on the street, you can have all that space back on your psp…
I hope there’s something good being worked on…I don’t get many responses here that are serious, and this site hasn’t been “happening” lately…What’s up? Can I help in some way? What’s the hold up? Nobody has an idea? Why doesn’t someone work on the Dreamcast games to work on Wii? That would be sweet! Or something! Please? I have more ideas that probably won’t work if you want to know some, just ask…Let’s get something going…

well, SCIENTIFICALLY speaking, video game consoles are made for———-Video Games!!!!! Anything else is extra…Hence Wii is cheap for the simple fact that it doesn’t need all the extras to do what it does. Rich people own Wii’s and it’s not because they are cheap, penny-pinchers, but because they wanted one. Throwing away money would be more on the Ps3’s side. Let’s start with a 60gig,(or a 20gig for whatever lame excuse you have. There’s no excuse to own a 20gig Ps3 as that is throwing away money. It doesn’t even have backwards compatibility.) Then when they release the 80gig, what do you do? Sell your 20/60 gig and spend extra money for the 80gig? Buy the 80gig? What is your goal here, Sonyboy?

I had a ps3 and I traded it to Gamestop for $500 trade-in credit so I could go on a shopping spree for my 360 and Wii, cause the PS3 isn’t as good as they claimed. All the games come out on Wii and 360, so PS3 is so worthless unless you have a bunch of bluray movies just lying around…Oh did you get the 2ogig?60?80? Why don’t you make up your mind sony? When are you going to get a clue that your downloadable games suck balls and the only cool thing that’s happened with ps3 since it’s been out is the update for Tekken 5 to play online. That’s it. And that’s not even cool enough to buy the console. They can’t offer anything better than Microsoft and Nintendo. Resistance was alright, but Gears is better. Metroid is better than Resistance. I have a good hack, let’s take your PS3 outside and fry up some burgers!

Who cares which is best? i have never heard such a bunch of babys. we used to argue about speccys and c64s at school , and then we grew up. its all about personal choice. now thats out of the way….PS3 rules , how you all seem to forget that the ps1 and ps2 had the same game support when released and look how well they did! , X360 if you want a 2 year out of date doorstop and get a wii if you are under 10 and cant work out what to do other than play games.
