According to enterbrain, sales in Japan for the Wii for the month of June are outstanding.
270,974 Wii’s sold.
41,628 PS3’s Sold.
17,616 360’s Sold.
So the Wii essentially has sold six times as many units as the PS3 in Japan for the month of June. Good news for us fanboys since we will probably see more developers jumping on the Wii bandwagon!

Makes sense, you charge 6 times the price of the wii, you sell 1/6th the amount. The funny part is that Nintendo makes a profit for every Wii sold (very small, but a profit none the less) which is interesting considering how much Sony literally loses every time they sell a PS3.

I personally don’t like these discussions. Ever thought about the following scenario?! Some years ago, Nintendo was running out of money, so that the only development was a better GameCube. OK, they earn a prifit. But my (rhetoric) question is; will the earned money last for further developments?! I mean, the gap between Sony/Microsoft and Nintendo is rising. And Nintendo won’t be able to creat a powerful console in the future. And believe me, consumers don’t want the same grafics the had 10 years ago. I’m talking about 2011 or so. PS3 will still be sold, XBox, too. But the WII as well?! Or will we get GameCube 3, then?!
Thats just a thought.
I have a Wii for my child. But for me I have a 360 and a PS3. Wii is only for child, I mean the graphics are the same as the Game Cube. I don’t want this crab of console.
